Weight is calculated in kilograms, and height is calculated in meters. The normal value is between 18.5 and 23.9. If the BMI is lower than 18.5, it means that the weight is too light. If the BMI is between 24 and 27, it means that the weight is too heavy. If the BMI is between 28 and 32, it means that it is obese. How to calculate your calorie intake?

First, calculate the daily basic calories required. Basic calories refer to the calories required to maintain the basic life activities of the human body. When the calorie value is lower than this, the human body will make ends meet and gradually lose weight, usually 25 kcal per kilogram of body weight. For example, an adult weighing 60 kilograms needs 1,500 kcal per day for basic calories.

Then, calculate the additional calories consumed due to activity. If it is light activity, then 5 kcal per kilogram of body weight is added. For example, an adult of 60 kilograms needs to add another 300 kcal on top of the 1,500 kcal base calories, which is a total of 1800 kcal per day.

If it is moderate activity, an additional 10 to 15 kcal per kilogram of body weight per day is required.

Calculate the most suitable calories for yourself every day. In addition to using height and weight, you can also calculate according to workload and labor intensity. The specific calculation method is as follows.

After calculating your standard weight, you can further calculate the calories you need for a day. This step must choose the unit of multiplication according to the nature of your work.

Less strenuous back-office workers, such as office workers, etc., have a daily calorie intake of: 25 kcal × standard weight (kg);

Slightly physically demanding field workers, such as project clerks, etc., have a daily calorie intake of:

30 kcal × standard weight (kg);

A large number of physically demanding manual workers, such as construction workers, have a daily calorie intake of:

35 kcal × standard weight (kg);

Learning to calculate how many calories you should consume every day and the calories of food you eat every day is a very important thing.
