Explanation of terms for hydrophilic and lipophilic balance?

Hydrophilic and lipophilic balance, originally used to represent the equilibrium relationship between hydrophilic groups and lipophilic groups in surfactant molecules. In the early 21st century, the concept of hydrophilic and lipophilic balance was introduced into SPE, and its filler matrix was a polymer (such as polystyrene). The matrix was lipophilic, similar in function to C18, and had an inverse retention function. Then a polar group, such as pyrrolidone, was bonded to the polymer matrix, which was hydrophilic. This group could enhance the retention ability of the filler to polar compounds and keep the filler water wettable to prevent the column bed from drying up, improving the stability of the results.

What does dissociation balance mean?

Dissociation equilibrium refers to the polarity parameter of a solute whose dissociation constant (pKa) has a certain degree of dissociation in aqueous solution. The dissociation constant gives the acidity or alkalinity of a molecule in a quantitative measure.

What is polarity?

Polarity spoon An object exhibits opposite inherent properties or forces in opposite parts or directions, a direction or attraction to a particular thing (such as a tilt, feeling, or thought); a tendency or tendency in a particular direction, to a particular positive or negative state of polarity or electrification (such as an object’s).

In chemistry, polarity refers to an inhomogeneity in the distribution of charge in a covalent bond or a covalent molecule. If the charge distribution is not uniform, the bond or molecule is called polar; uniform is called non-polar.

6.35 What does balanced interface mean?

Answer: 6.35 Balanced transmission refers to the signal transmission line has two input terminals, a ground wire. Unbalanced transmission refers to the signal transmission line has one input terminal and one ground wire. When there is common mode interference, because the interference signal values received on the two terminals of balanced transmission are similar, while the polarity is opposite, the interference signals can cancel each other on the load of balanced transmission, so the balanced circuit has better anti-interference ability.
