The Benefits of Prostate Massage

Prostate massage has been promoted by many therapists as a safe, alternative and effective treatment of many prostate problems like benign prostatic byperplasia, prostatitis and other prostate disorders.  The massaging of the prostate is done through pressure to force debris and other built-up pressure out of the prostate out into your system through the urethra.

Prostate massage can be self-administered or can be done by professional therapists. With prostate massage, many patients will experience better flow of urine and lesser tension in the tissues surrounding the urethra.  The gentle massaging of the prostate will release retained fluid inside and will improve blood circulation to the prostate.  Symptoms of prostatitis will also be treated through prostate massage.

Prostate massage also has other benefits in terms of sexual health.  Prostate massage has been around for centuries and today, many books have been published on the benefits of prostate massage for sexual satisfaction.  Many people experience better sexual interaction after a massage and men often experience a more “exploding” ejaculation through prostate massage.

Prostate massage sessions involve the stimulation of the prostate gland, the seminal vesicles and the ampulla.  These are the three glands of the male reproductive system.  A therapist will usually administer the procedure.  There are men who are somewhat uneasy with a therapist so prostate massage can also be self-administered by using prostate massagers which are already available in the market today.

It may be very uncomfortable the first time but prostate massage is really very pleasurable because it will stimulate several nerve endings of the anus as well as the other half of the penis which is located beneath the base of the scrotum.  Prostate massage will naturally stimulate these areas and can be most satisfying for many patients.

There are two ways to apply prostate massage:  External and internal.  Most therapists would recommend the internal prostate massage for maximum benefits and pleasure but there are also other ways to massage the prostate via the abdomen and inner thighs.  But the external methods are not as effective nor will it yield the same benefits as the internal prostate massage.

The benefits of prostate massage are only being discovered and verified.  Today, many would recommend sessions in prostate massage to complement prostatitis treatments and reverse sexual dysfunctions.
